With Customers Like These, Who Needs Commercials?
Oct 9th, 2008 | By BourbonQ | Category: BourbonQ TestimonialsI promise you this is real…it reads like a damn commercial, but I guess this guy really likes our stuff.
“Hi there,
I’m not one to send letters to companies and brag about their products, but I felt I had to write this one.
I consider myself a big fan of hot sauces, but moreover, of those that are not typically “run of the mill”. I enjoy the tastes of different mixtures. I particularly enjoy a sauce if it has flavor — not just heat.
I was spoiled on a homemade sauce a friend brought back from Costa Rica. The taste was smooth and sweet, with a nice warm afterglow.
I cherished the small sample, using it as sparingly as I could, fighting the temptation to go crazy with it (though I will honestly admit I did yield unto temptation from time to time! But then again, these pleasures should be cherished like a fine cigar and a snifter full of your favorite vintage).
As time passed, I used up all I had and went through a period of remorse.
Then, one day I stopped at a truck stop where your products were on display. I usually avoid the basic bottled salt-and-cayenne. The sodium levels will shrivel your tongue and leave you parched and in need of something to dilute what little reminder is left on your palette.
With hesitancy, I read the ingredients listed on the bottle of Pappy’s Moonshine Madness. The list was remarkable. After purchasing it, I went home and tried it on some ribs…what a delight!
Now, I use Moonshine Madness on everything…in soups and chili, chicken, pork chops, eggs, roast beef. Pretty much anything that needs a wake up call. My most recent favorite was to use it in a seafood boil. The flavor was fantastic and the mellow warmth was a bonus. I even have my stuffy old friends enjoying it, too!
Thanks for a fine product. It’s nice to know someone still has pride in what they make. In this “stamp it, label it, send it out the door” world, the pride you show is evident in all your fine products.
May you enjoy much success,
Jimmie”
